One of the major aspects of the Girls’ Leadership Project differentiating it from other youth programs is that the girls have an opportunity to use the skills they learned and gain experience while working with the Women’s Alliance in planning and implementing International Women’s Day. This event will deepen their understanding of the importance and power of activism and is also a chance to celebrate. We also hope the girls will continue their involvement with the Women’s Alliance after International Women’s Day by helping with the recruiting process and serving as mentors for the Ten Week Exploration Series the following fall.
